To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), it's as simple as being 10 years old or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is required!

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of two main phases:

• Online Knowledge Development - where you will learn the basic principles of scuba diving.
• Confined and Open Water Dives to learn and develop your skills to explore!

In our PADI Five Star Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba equipment, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and cylinder. Ocean Extreme applies the latest in prescriptive teaching methods by offering multiple ways to complete your Open Water Diver certification.

Call or stop by our North Little Rock office any time during normal business hours to enroll in the Open Water Diver course. We will immediately get you set up with everything you need to begin your training immediately.

Traditional Method:

If you choose the traditional method of completing the Knowledge Development portion of the course, stop by our North Little Rock office and you will go home with your own PADI Open Water Diver Crewpack, which includes: PADI Open Water Diver Textbook/Workbook and DVD, PADI Logbook, and all of the other documents you need to get started! You then have the convenience of covering the material at your desired pace, whether you knock it out overnight or take all summer. You also have the added confidence that an Ocean Extreme PADI Master Instructor or Master Diver Trainer is always available at the office or over the telephone to help you with anything you need along the way!

Online:

Ocean Extreme also offers the PADI eLearning method for completing the Knowledge Development portion of the course. Complete the entire Open Water Knowledge Development in PADI's interactive online classroom. This is especially convenient for our long-distance learners who can't make it by the office as easily. As always, rest assured that Ocean Extreme instructors are available for any help our students need along the way!

Confined and Open Water Dives:

Completing your in water training is a simple call to schedule your weekend dives at our Mountain Harbor Resort location where your pool and open water dives are conducted from one of our custom "Caribbean" style designed fast boats. Ocean Extreme is the only training facility in Arkansas where you will complete your pool and first 2 open water dives in the same day; thus keeping the skills you learn fresh on your mind, and allowing you to complete all of the required dives in one weekend! We offer classes EVERY weekend throughout the entire dive season, guaranteeing that there is a class to fit your schedule.
